Marvin Gaye Sings National Anthem at 1983 NBA All-Star Game

Whoa. I'm thinking that Francis Scott Key did not have this in mind when he wrote "Defence of Fort McHenry." But somehow I don't think he would mind. Not at all.

Creative Graffiti

Very cool graffiti. The true intention and vision can only be seen at night. Sandman cometh, sprinkling the stuff of sleep and dreams.

A Pretty Blue Award

I know it's just a silly little blue ribbon, but it was my first speech. I hate public speaking, but decided to tackle it head on (New Year's Resolution) and sign up for the Toastmaster intro class at work.

Now the expectation has been set, and I need to perform! The next speech is in two weeks.

Blue October - Dirt Room

Blue October is one of my favorite groups. You never quite know what music style you are going to get from the group. Their videos are equally entertaining as well.

"Dirt Room" is the first single from the upcoming new album Approaching Normal.

I'm looking forward to taking my daughters out at night to see this. This will be their first comet. Hopefully they'll be impressed!

Early Cherry Blossoms

Early Cherry Blossoms

From today in the Safeway parking lot. My daughters always give me that exasperate look of "now what are you taking a picture of?"

Pictures from the Day

The day turned out to be pretty nice, so we decided to head to Walnut Creek and shop at Broadway Plaza. I was looking for some new shoes for work. While trying them on with dress socks, I was struck by a thought and said aloud "holy crap I look like my dad." The sales guy laughed and said "hey it's a style and you are making a statement. What that statement is I don't know."

A cool thing about Broadway Plaza is that they have a Concierge office. The office has separate bathrooms (very clean) for women, men, nursing women and family. The family restroom has a toddler toilet, which is a huge plus for families with little ones. It makes it so much easier!
